A Living Sacrifice--His Purpose

Brethren, by the mercies of God, present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God (Romans 12); to do good and to communicate for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. (Hebrews 13) While we were yet sinners Christ died for us. (Romans 5) For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3)

Know you not, that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are--servants of sin unto death, or servants of obedience unto righteousness? (Romans 6) Not every one that saith Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but only he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 7)

Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice. (1 Samuel 15) He that hath My commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves Me: and he that loves Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. (John 14) Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads to life, and few there be that find it. (Matthew 7)

You see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only (James 2). Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. (James 1) For we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. (Romans 8)

Exercise your authority to tread on serpents and to cast out demons. You are the head and not the tail. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Exercise your holy boldness.
