Word

This is the day that the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it (Psalms 118:24).  Lord God, we come this morning thanking you for life, health and strength.  Thank you for knowledge of your Word. You spoke and the world came into existence. Let our confidence be in you and not in the flesh (Philippians 3:3).  It is You who have made us and not we ourselves (Psalms 100:3). We are your workmanship (Ephesians 2:10). Work in us and through us. Use us that You may get the glory, honor, and praise. You alone are God (Psalm 86:10).  This day was foreordained by You (Jeremiah 1:5). You gave us breath in our lungs this morning and opened our eyes to see a new day.

Help us to walk in obedience to your Word today and to not be busy bodies, minding other peoples business (1 Peter 4:15; 2 Thessalonians 3:11; 1 Timothy 5:13). Make us to be doers and not just hearers of Your Word (James 1:22-25). You told Joshua to hold up the sword that was in his hand (Joshua 8:18). You told Moses to hold up the rod that was in his hand (Exodus 17:11). Thy rod and thy staff comfort me (Psalm 23). Thy Word is sharp and powerful--cutting to the bone and marrow (Hebrews 4:12). You told us to study to show ourselves approved--workmen who need not be ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15).

Make us to walk in wisdom towards them who are without redeeming the time for the days are evil (Colossians 4:5). You send us forth as sheep for the slaughter (Matthew 10:16). Make us to watch and pray (Matthew 26:41). We trust you for every good and perfect gift this day (James 1:17). We thank you for what awaits us this day, for no weapon formed against us shall prosper and every tongue that rises up against us in judgement You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17).  Lord Jesus, you said that you would bless those who bless us and curse those who curse us (Genesis 12:3) and by their fruits we shall know them (Matthew 7:15-20). There are many spirits. Make us to try the spirit by the Spirit, which is the Word of God (1 John 4:1:5). Make us to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves (Matthew 10:16).

We thank you, in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Exercise your authority to tread on serpents and to cast out demons. You are the head and not the tail. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Exercise your holy boldness.
