We're All Faking

We're all faking. Who is going to enter into the kingdom of Heaven? The bible says that judgement will begin in the household of faith (1 Peter 4:17). Those who call on the very name of Jesus are faking it or mouthing at best. We quote scripture, read the bible, attend prayer service and bible study, then run out and get in our brand new cars--Mercedes, Jaguars, Toyotas, Cadillacs, Rolls Royces, Buicks, Austin Healey. Do we really make the Lord Jesus Christ Lord of our life?

Do those who torment us in secret, engage in deceptive acts, use trickery, numerology, witchcraft, voodoo, whoo-doo, dark influences, black magic, colors, hokus-pokus; you know the institutions of this country who present themselves as authority figures, and use their associates and acquaintances, families and friends, to provoke or promote activity to set traps, to stir up, or to "catch" someone who is just being "themselves" or "minding their own business",--are they really being deceptive or is that simply how they are and who they are?  Is it a requirement of the job--is it their organizations' strategic plan or their organization's culture?  If it is a requirement of the job or their organization's culture, they will excel on their job and within the organization because they are subject matter experts when it comes to deception and subtlety (1 Timothy 4:1-8; John 8:44; Romans 13:14)? We are all born in sin and shaped in iniquity (Psalm 51:5-6).

Jesus said first sell all that you have and then come and follow me (Mark 10:21; Matthew 19:21; Luke 18:22; Luke 14:33). But who can enter in because we have a lot of stuff. Jesus said that it would be easier for a camel to get through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven but with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:23-24; Mark 10:25). We love our cars, our homes, our apartments, our houses, our yards, our diamond rings, gold bracelets and necklaces, nice shoes and clothes, we like getting our hair done and getting our nails polished. We like nice stuff, we like to look good and we love Jesus. At least we say we do. We love the thought of Jesus. We love what Jesus stands for. But are we really followers of Christ?

The remnant (Romans 11:5; Romans 9:27) that the church is coming back for must be five people. What do you think? Who is going to make it in?

Jesus said you tell them that we are all fakers. We're all faking. We don't put Christ first. We use God when it is convenient. It makes us look good and feel holy. Feel holy? Look good? Who are we trying to impress?

I'll leave it at that. The Lord said to tell them that we are all fakers. .....there you go..... we are all fakers.

Exercise your authority to tread on serpents and to cast out demons. You are the head and not the tail. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Exercise your holy boldness.
