Lord Jesus we thank you in advance for every opportunity today:
- to share the gospel message of Jesus Christ.
- to mortify the deeds of the flesh (Romans 8:13),
- to shine in righteousness.
- to owe no man anything, but to love them (Romans 13:8),
- to express righteous indignation, and
- to be chastised. For we know that you chastise those whom you love (Hebrews 12:7; Proverbs 3:12)).
Most of all, we thank you for setting us free by the blood of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:13). Help us to do what you would have us to do. Give us a discerning spirit that we may know the good, acceptable and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2). Make us to be mindful of everything we say, do, and think is subject to your divine authority. Make our desires your desires. Make us to walk in your promise that those whose minds are kept on thee shall have perfect peace, that passes all understanding (Isaiah 26:3).
Make us to walk in Truth today. Thy Word is Truth (John 17:17) and we shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make us free (John 8:32).
