They Were Filled With Madness

At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were hungry, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat. When the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day. Jesus said unto them, have you not read what David did, when he was an hungry and they that were with him; how he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests? Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless? (Matthew 12)

But I say unto you, that in this place is one greater than the temple. For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day. (Matthew 12)

And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him. Jesus said unto them, what man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? How much then is a man better than a sheep? Then Jesus said to the man, "Stretch forth thine hand." And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other. (Matthew 12)

Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against Jesus, how they might destroy Him (Matthew 12). And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus. (Luke 6) Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle Him in His talk. (Matthew 22)

If the world hate you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love his own: but because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. If they have persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. These things will they do unto you for My sake, because they know not Him who sent Me. (John 15)

Exercise your authority to tread on serpents and to cast out demons. You are the head and not the tail. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Exercise your holy boldness.
