Bless the Lord, Oh My Soul

I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together. I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. The angel of the Lord encamps about them that fear Him, and delivers them. Blessed is the man that puts his trust in Him. O fear the Lord, ye His saints: for there is no want to them that fear Him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing (Psalm 34).

Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it (Psalm 34). You're not going to be perfect, but don't make excuses to sin. Your relationship with Christ is who you are. If someone does not like you, Jesus said remember that they hated Him first (John 15). Jesus died for sinners, of whom you were chief. But now you're not. Now you are cleansed by the blood of Jesus (1 John). You may fall, you may utter words that you know you should not have said--hopefully not out loud--cause then you will have fallen into the devil's trap--but because they are not pleasing to God. Confess your sins and Jesus will forgive you. Jesus will forgive you seven times seventy times (Luke 17). Don't let evil talking and curse words take a foot hold in your mind. It can be a daily battle--if you let it be--but God's grace is sufficient to keep you (2 Corinthians 12). Draw near to God and He will draw near to you (James 4, Jeremiah 29).

The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and His ears are open unto their cry. The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. The righteous cry, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. When your heart is broken, God is near.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: and the Lord delivers them out of them all (Psalms 34), and we know that all things work together for good to them who love Him (Romans 8). The Lord keeps all of our bones and not one of them is broken (Psalm 34). Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved (Acts 16).

Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, true, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God (Daniel 3).

Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, you servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire. And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them. Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in Him. (Daniel 3)

Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate (Psalm 34). Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you (Matthew 5).

Exercise your authority to tread on serpents and to cast out demons. You are the head and not the tail. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Exercise your holy boldness.
