God's Will and Perfect Plan

The LORD said to Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons (1 Samuel 16).

The Spirit of the LORD had departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him. And Saul's servants said unto him, behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee. Let our lord command thy servants to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well (1 Samuel 16).

And Samuel said unto Jesse, are these all of your children? Jesse, said there is one more, my youngest who is out tending to the sheep. Samuel said fetch him; we will not sit down until he gets here. He was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, arise, anoint him: for this is he (1 Samuel 16).  King David who killed a bear with his bare hands--when he was a young sheep herder--who tried to attack his sheep (1 Samuel 17:36).  David, who killed the giant uncircumcised Philistine who came up against him with a sword and a shield--only using a slingshot (1 Samuel 17:26). Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed David surrounded by his brothers: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward.

So, Saul sent to Jesse, saying, let David, I pray thee, come and stand before me. And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him. (1 Samuel 16)
