God's Covenant

This is the day that the Lord has made. Rejoice and be glad in it. A year is as a day and a day as a thousand years (2 Peter 3:8). God chose us, we did not choose Him. God did not choose us because of anything that we did or because we are smaller in number or weaker (John 15:16; Ephesians 1:4; Deuteronomy 7:7); quite the contrary, those of us who the Lord chose and set apart, number more than the stars in the sky and the grains of sand (Genesis 22:17, Genesis 26:4, Genesis 15:5, Deuteronomy 1:10, Deuteronomy 10:22). The Lord chose us because of our fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, our grandparents and generations before them who were in covenant with God and believed the promises of God to a thousand generations (Exodus 20:6, Deuteronomy 7:9).

It is our turn, our generation, and the generations after us who will honor God's Word and God's covenant through His son, Jesus Christ.

Lord Jesus, knowledge of your awesomeness, grace, mercy and unmerited favor are too high for me. I cannot attain unto it (Psalm 139:6). The Word of God is more powerful and sharper than a two-edged sword, dividing soul and spirit, cutting to the bone and marrow, discerning thoughts and the very intent of our hearts (Hebrew 4:12). Whether we live, or whether we die, we are the Lord's (Romans 14:8).

Exercise your authority to tread on serpents and to cast out demons. You are the head and not the tail. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Exercise your holy boldness.
