No Greater Love

Don't let the devil drag you down. Don't let somebody use you for a hitching post. Do not become what someone else is trying to make you or deceptively influence you to become, or thinks that you aught to be. If you are facing severe adversity in your life, someone is attempting to make you be what they want you to be. Someone is trying to make you fit into their mode of what they think about you and what they think you should be. How dare you not be what I think you should be? How dare you resist my attempts to subjugate you and dominate you. Who do you think you are?

The bible tells me that Christ set us free. The bible tells us that who the Son sets free is free indeed. The bible tells us that we are free and to not return again to the yoke of bondage. The bible tells us to resist the devil and to stand fast in the liberty wherein Christ has made us free. The bible is a light unto our pathways and a lamp unto our feet. In fact we are lights that are set up on a hill so that the whole world can see.  Let your light shine so among men that they may see your good works and glorify God who is in heaven. You are the light of the world. Jesus said that I am that light that came into the world and the world comprehended it not. Such is your life as a child of God, a born again believer in Christ. It is written that man cannot comprehend the things of God nor can they know it. 

Jesus said this one thing I tell you, that you love one another. The law of Moses said an eye for an eye, but I tell you to love your enemies and those who abuse you and despitefully use you. When you are free in Christ you can love your enemies. The bible tells us to owe no man anything but to love them. That is the first order of the law. That you love your neighbor as yourself. The bible does not instruct us to be a friend to our enemies.  The bible tells us to walk in wisdom toward them who are without redeeming the time for the days are evil.

If you think very little of yourself then that is how much you think of others. And the nastier and the more hateful of others you are the more effort and influence you will exert to denigrate your target to get them lower than you are, in the self-esteem chain. I think poor of myself and therefore I have to subjugate you and denigrate you so that you will be even lower than I think of myself.  Are you following me? I can only feel good about myself if I make you feel bad about yourself...undercover.

The bible tells us to endure hardness as a good soldier and to fight the good fight of faith. I tell you that I feel love just writing this message. God is love. There is no greater love than a man lay down his life for his sheep. Jesus said, "I lay down my life for you, now take up your cross and follow me." And the apostles dropped everything that they were doing and immediately and on the spot followed Jesus with no questions asked. They had seen Jesus and were aware of the miracles that He had performed and the thousands that he had fed.
