Jesus was hungry and walked up to a fig tree that had no figs on it. It was only leaves. Jesus cursed the fig tree and said no one shall eat from this tree this day forward.
Jesus and the disciples went on their way and when they returned to where the fig tree was it had withered and died (Mark 11). The disciples were astonished. Jesus said if thou say to a mountain move and go to yonder place it will go. Whatever you believe it shall be done. Now faith--right now faith, not faith for a later time, not faith for tomorrow, next week, or next month, but faith for right now--is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen (Hebrews 11).
Turn not to thy right hand (Proverbs 4:27), nor to thy left hand but seek ye first the kingdom of Heaven and all these things shall be added unto you.You have fought the devil day in and day out. And you will have to continue to fight the devil everyday of your life. As long as you are clothed in your earthly body, you will be in a wrestle not with flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12) but with principalities, evil and wicked spirits in high places. God chose you. You did not choose God. You have no choice but to exercise your faith and whip up on the devil in the authority that God has given you to tread on serpents and to cast out demons. This is spiritual warfare. Show love (respect). Walk in wisdom towards them who are without redeeming the time for the days are evil. Owe no man anything but to love (respect) them (Romans 13:8). Go to the throne of grace that you may obtain mercy for your weary soul (Hebrews 4:16). Ask the Lord to strengthen your heart and mind.
You will be engaged in spiritual warfare until the Lord calls you home. Deal with it in prayer. Come from among them, prayerfully, and in your heart. Call out the dark spirits trying to invade your mind, thoughts, body, and life anytime it raises its ugly head. Remember that God speaks to the heart, not the head. God already knows your desire, but He also wants you to bring those desires to Him. It is awesome to have the privilege to go to the throne of grace, knowing that God hears and answers prayers (1 John 5:14). Jesus is the light of the world (John 8:12) that is shining on you so that the evil tactics and dark forces that attempt to invade your mind, body, soul, and life can not be hid.
The devil's strategy is to violate you in secret, covertly, mimicry; to provoke you to act out openly.
Curse the fig tree.

Exercise your authority to tread on serpents and to cast out demons. You are the head and not the tail. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Exercise your holy boldness.
