The goal of evil influences and the forces of darkness is to wear you down. To beat you down until you're nothing. To denigrate you until you become dependent on evil subsistence--subservient. And, then, do whatever the forces of darkness, want you to do--exploitation. You have to fight evil intentions and the forces of darkness in the Spirit of God. You cannot fight against evil, hidden intentions, albeit real--in the flesh.
What could someone possibly tell a person that would make them go along with or become engaged in a controlled operation or scheme for the purpose of destroying another's life? What would possibly make someone treat another human being as if they are not human; as if they are mentally ill, dumb or stupid? What kind of person engages in that kind of activity? What would make one person feel as though their life is more valuable than someone else? What kind of person thinks that no one is supposed to have anything but them? What kind of person can have material possessions and work to destroy the possessions of another? I speak in the flesh. What kind of people are these? And to add salt to the wound, they think that you are supposed to want to be their friend. When Jesus went about casting out demons, the Pharisees said that Jesus was casting out demons in the name of Beelzebub. Some called Him mentally ill. Satan will go to any length to stop the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We need to stay prayed up. The devil is not playing. Satan has a 24/7/365 campaign of evil going on. You must arm yourself with the word of God. Stay in prayer. Never tire of whipping up on the devil. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13). Be vigilant because your adversary, the devil, walks about as a roaring lion, in sheep clothing seeking whom he may devour. Keep on the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand the fiery darts of the devil (Ephesians 6).

Exercise your authority to tread on serpents and to cast out demons. You are the head and not the tail. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Exercise your holy boldness.
