But, In the Power of God

For John truly baptized with water; but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, you men of Galilee, why stand here gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen him go into heaven.

But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you. I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. According to His glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness. That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Exercise your authority to tread on serpents and to cast out demons. You are the head and not the tail. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Exercise your holy boldness.
