How Excellent is Thy Name!

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. (Psalm 28) Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. (Psalm 103) I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart. (Psalm 9)

Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. Men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: dividing the Red Sea, the locusts and the frogs, plagues and pestilence; and I will declare thy greatness. (Psalm 145)

For, if these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men; then the Lord hath not sent me. But if the Lord make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then you shall understand that these men have provoked the Lord. And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them: And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods. They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation. And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up also. (Numbers 16)

Lord, how great are thy works! And thy thoughts are very deep. (Psalm 92) Give thanks unto the Lord; call upon His name: make known His deeds among the people. Sing unto Him, sing psalms unto Him: talk of all his wondrous works. Glory in His holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord. Seek the Lord and His strength: seek His face. (Psalms 105)

Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. Out of the mouth of children and infants, babes and sucklings thou hast silenced your enemies, and all who oppose you. O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! (Psalm 8)

Exercise your authority to tread on serpents and to cast out demons. You are the head and not the tail. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Exercise your holy boldness.
