It's Just a Test

The Lord is testing you. If it were possible the very elect would be fooled (Matthew 24). Jesus said my sheep know me and they know my voice and another they will not follow (John 10:27). Signs and wonders are to be tried against the Word of God. Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (1 John 4) The man who's company designed the battery operated Tesla car--his father, Nikola Tesla, was an electrical engineer who designed equipment that could cause lightening and thunder. His inventions were so "earth shattering", that according to some reports, the government allegedly was responsible for confiscating his many papers that were left behind after his death.

And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, when Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, shew a miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron, take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent. And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the Lord had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent. Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments. For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods. (Exodus 7:11)

And Gideon said unto God, If thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said, behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said. And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the fleece together, and wringed the dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water. And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only upon the fleece, and upon all the ground let there be dew. And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the fleece only, and there was dew on all the ground. (Judges 6:39)

What does the Word say? The prophet lied but God was putting the man of God to the test. The man of God went against what God told him not to do. The prophet who told the lie sat at the table eating, leaned back and cried unto the man of God who he lied to, thus saith the Lord, forasmuch as thou hast disobeyed the mouth of the Lord, and hast not kept the commandment which the Lord thy God commanded thee, and came and ate bread and drank water in this place, of the which the Lord told you to eat no bread, and drink no water; thy carcass shall not come unto the sepulchre of thy fathers. (1 Kings 13). Strong delusion (2 Thessalonians 2:11). You're just like me, we're just alike, we're "friends", we're a team.

It's not about what other people do, it's about what you do. The prophet lied to the man of God. It's not about the liar, it's about the man who chose to believe the lie, after God had given him explicit orders. After God had revealed to him the truth, he chose to forget about what God said and believe a lie--hey you're cool people--let's roll--honk, honk, bang, slam, pop, pop, hum, buzz--I'll wake you up in the wee hours of the morning with the electromagnetic technology and try to get you thinking about everything and everybody.

But I digress. Your relationship is with God. You are going to be tested and experience trial by fire. Don't think it strange when these fiery trials come upon you (1 Peter 4:2). In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer (John 16:33). Christ your risen Savior has overcome the world.

Trials come to make you strong in Christ. Trials come to strengthen your faith in God. Jesus said to try Him and see won't He open up the windows of heaven and pour you out blessings you won't have room enough to receive (Malachi 3:10).

Exercise your authority to tread on serpents and to cast out demons. You are the head and not the tail. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Exercise your holy boldness.
