When God Gives It To You

You can read the bible. And you should. You should read it over and over and over again, but when God gives His Word back to you, whew! It is breathtaking. It's like I know you said that, now I know what you mean. We read and we quote "vengeance is mine", and then you are just walking along and the Word comes to you "vengeance is mine". I'm like "vengeance is mine"? And then it is repeated to you. Vengeance is mine, I shall repay. It's like okay Lord. I read it, I believed it when I read it, and now You have given it back to me. You have given it back to me as your promise--as Your Word, and you are not a human that You would lie. And when you are imbued with power from on high, the Word of God will come upon you and overtake you; casting down every evil imagination and high thing that exalted itself against the Word of God, and bringing every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

Take God at His Word. Trust the Lord and do good. God is the master chef. He knows how to season it well, until it is just right. Ooh this is so good. It is ready, now taste it. That is how God is when He prepares you to come to the Lord. You cannot come to Christ unless He draws you. Flesh and blood cannot reveal God to you. You have to have an experience that only God can give you. Someone can point you to the Lord. Someone can lead you to the way to salvation. But it is God who will ultimately make the conversion in your life take place, and He knows just what it takes for you to yield to His call. For by faith through grace you are saved and not of yourself. It is a gift of God, lest any man should boast. You cannot come to Christ unless He draws you to Him.

….that's why everyone who calls on the name of Jesus, and says "I'm saved", are really not saved. They just say that they are saved, but they have not had a spiritual conversion. They may even go to church every Sunday and make sure to carry their bible with them; but they are like new wine in old bottles. (Matthew 9:17)

Exercise your authority to tread on serpents and to cast out demons. You are the head and not the tail. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Exercise your holy boldness.
