Lip Service

Are we serving God with our lips only while our hearts are far from Him--having a form of godliness--clean on the outside and dirty on the inside, like the scribes and the pharisees.  Are we saved? Are we born again? Are we filled with the Spirit of God?  Are we living a sanctified life, separate from the world?

Are we living like we are supposed to live, according to the bible?  Or do we live after the lusts of the flesh?  Do we think that we are so perfect and infallible that we make no mistakes and that we are always right? Who do we think that we are making judgments about others, according to the flesh? Who are we? Who do we think that we are, calling right wrong, and wrong right?

Are we believing God?  Are we trusting God with our life? Are we praying and believing that God hears and answers our prayers?  Do we believe that signs, wonders, and miracles follow them who believe?

..........or are we just giving lip service?

Do we believe that God is who He says He is? Do we believe that we can harbor anger, animosity, jealousy, and hatred towards our fellow man and God not know it?  Do we really think that we can denigrate, subjugate, and exploit our fellow man and get away with it--like God only knows some stuff and not other stuff--like God is only watching out for certain people and not for other people?  Who do we think that God really is?  Do we really even believe that there is a God, heaven, or hell?  Is this all one big mind control game that we won't come to our senses until Jesus returns and puts the fear of God in our hearts?

.........and He will return, because He said that He would in His Word. God is not a man that He would lie, and the bible tells us that God's Word will not return unto Him void.

Exercise your authority to tread on serpents and to cast out demons. You are the head and not the tail. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Exercise your holy boldness.
