Drifting in thought, word or deed are no-nos. We must be mindful and ever vigilant that the devil is looking for any and every little thing to latch on to that may be contrary to God's Word--not God's plan, but God's Word; because the irritant, the evil one, the evil influencer is an irritant that the Lord uses to keep us in check. Hallelujah! Glory to God! I love the Lord so much. We are lights that the Lord has lit, not to be hid under a bush, but to sit on the hill top so that the whole world can see. Typically, humans can get away with thinking all kinds of negative thoughts that support their negative, evil, hidden intent. That was in the old days. Since satan has introduced technology in his sinister arsenal of attack weapons, believers need to make an effort to guard their mind. (Billy Graham did a sermon on technology and the devil, but I digress. I include this only to mention that technology and demonic attack are mainstream--not bizarre "out there" thinking.) You need to keep your mind stayed on the Lord and on heavenly things....unless of course you are rebuking the devil and pleading the blood--which is always a good thing (smile here).
God is in control. God is a right now, all the time, ever-present God. He neither slumbers or sleeps. (Psalm 121:4) The Lord is in charge of this world and everything and everybody in it. How can we not praise, honor, and glorify the majestic God that He is. Atheists, Buddhists, Hinduists, Moslems, everybody. God is in control. Before the earth was formed, God was (Proverbs 8:23; Psalm 90:2). Before Abraham, I am (John 8:58).
One can chase one thousand. Two can put ten thousand to flight if God is with them. (Deuteronomy 32:30; Joshua 23:10) Embrace infirmity, embrace affliction...it is only for a season, while God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). For I reckon that the suffering of this present time cannot be compared to the glory that shall be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18).

Exercise your authority to tread on serpents and to cast out demons. You are the head and not the tail. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Exercise your holy boldness.
