The Second Coming

Jesus' name needs to be resurrected in our lives. Jesus' name needs to be resurrected in the heart of man. Remember how you first got saved. It was a process. You began to lose the desire for things in the world. You began to lose the desire for temporary, fleeting, tangible gratification. You longed for comfort and peace. You began to start reading the bible. It comforted you. The Lord, in His infinite wisdom, sent somebody or put someone in your path to remind you of Jesus; to say His name, to tell you that Jesus loves you, or to remind you that Jesus died on the cross for you. You may have started to go to church. Your mission was to obtain peace, not necessarily to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal savior.

Peace is in Jesus. Jesus gives us a peace that passes all understanding. Jesus put a void or emptiness inside of us that no human or thing can fill. Nothing will fill that void or provide the comfort or fulfillment we are longing for except inviting Jesus Christ to come into our life to be our personal Lord and Savior. And then, suddenly, our life changes. Our mind is renewed. We want to live and look forward to facing a new day. We want to tell everybody about this treasure that we just found in Jesus.

We become babes in Christ. The Lord begins to nurture us and feed us the milk of the Word. We may begin to attend bible studies or pursue activities that increase our knowledge of the Word. Time passes; we grow in Christ and the knowledge of His Word, albeit there will be some who are ever learning and never come to the knowledge of the truth. (2 Timothy 3:7-9). They have studied the bible with their natural comprehension. You have to be born again. The natural man cannot comprehend the things of God, (1 Corinthians 2:14) neither can they know them. They have studied the bible and can repeat scripture back and forth but they have not accepted Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. They become regular church goers--but they still do not know Christ personally.

When Jesus returns to gather up His flock, some will come saying that they have done much good and mighty works in Jesus's name. Jesus will say, depart from me, you who work iniquity, (Matthew 7:23) I know you not.

If you believe in Jesus but have not given your life to Christ, accept Him into your heart today. Christ Jesus, please come into my heart. Lord Jesus become my personal Lord and Savior

Exercise your authority to tread on serpents and to cast out demons. You are the head and not the tail. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Exercise your holy boldness.
