Let's Go Fishing

Jesus said if you follow me I will make you fishers of men. We've been out here fishing all day and have not caught anything Master.  Jesus told them to cast their net from the other side of the boat. The disciples took in so many fish in the net that the net broke.

People (souls) need to hear about Jesus. They need to hear His name. One plants, another waters, and another makes the increase. Such is the mention of Jesus' name.

We know how to work. We know how to provide for ourselves and our families but it can be a struggle at times. Day-to-day we find ourselves engaged in an unseen battle against the forces of darkness that secretly want to see us fail--while they smile in our face and pat us on the back.  We cannot fight these forces of darkness on our own. We need to know that Jesus will fight for us--but we have to want Him to.

Ask what you will and Jesus will do it for you.  Ask the Father anything in the name of Jesus and He will do it for you.  This is starting to sound like a broken record, but it needs to be repeated--over and over.  We need to seek Christ. We need to pray and believe that Christ is alive and that He exists and that He is a rewarder of them who diligently seek Him.

The battles that we are in are battles that the Lord has picked out specifically for us. We don't have to fight them. We have to pray and believe that Jesus hears and answers our prayers. Miracles, signs, and wonders will follow them who believe in and on the name of Jesus (Hebrew 2:4).

As Jesus went about healing the sick and casting out demons He said, greater things than these shall you do. (John 14:12)

Don't add, leave out, or subtract anything from the Word of God. Many are called but few are chosen. The first shall be last and the last, first.  Only a remnant will be saved. (Romans 9:27)

Exercise your authority to tread on serpents and to cast out demons. You are the head and not the tail. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Exercise your holy boldness.
